Wendy Tanamachi SmithOffice Manager
Wendy has been in the healthcare profession for the last 17 years. She studied to be a Certified Nurses Assistant at El Rancho Vista Rehabilitation Center in Pico Rivera where she learned how to maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, recording intake and output information and provided patient comfort.
Wendy also continued her course in Hospice care where she helped manage pain and symptoms and provided emotional and spiritual support to her patients helping them make the most of each day during a life-limiting illness.
Continued training in Acute Care at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital Pediatric Department where she assisted children that received active but short-term treatment for severe injury or episode of illness, an urgent medical condition, or during recovery from surgery.
After completing her training she was employed with Merrill Gardens at Chateau Whittier as a Home Health Care Provider where she tailored service plans that supported the resident’s own ability to perform activities assisting them with daily living situations.
After learning the needs of all these different health situations she realized that all these cases had one thing in common, touch. The human touch is very important whether it’s helping someone who is confined or a child that needs you to hold their hand. So she searched her options and became a Massage Therapist where she did Synergy Massage, which is combined with one or more treatments to promote health, and physical wellness. She worked with several Chiropractic offices and realized the direct coloration between Chiropractic and Health. Wendy is now the office manager at Smith UCHC where she is ready to answer any questions you may have and get you scheduled for the consultation that will change your life.
